Horses For Sale Classifieds Irish Bloodstock Sales Thoroughbred Breeding Foal Mare Stallion Yearling Racing Ireland Race Horse - Thoroughbred Diaries-How It Works
How It Works:

What is a Thoroughbred Diary?

Thoroughbred ‘Diaries’ are online portfolios of your bloodstock – your purebred thoroughbreds. Irrespective of whether your horse is for sale, at stud, in training or destined for an off track discipline, these portfolios or ‘diaries’ are designed to help you promote, or market (sell) your bloodstock.

Not only that, but creating bloodstock portfolios on the Thoroughbred Diaries website, reduces the need to build and maintain your own website in order to achieve the increasingly important online presence.

As well as being a unique marketing tool in your bloodstock campaign, they are also designed to help you improve your customer relations by enabling you to direct interested national and international customers to view your bloodstock online.

Whether you have:

Foals, yearlings, stores or mares in foal for sale;
A stallion at stud, a mare at stud, a new arrival or a horse in training
A horse going to auction
Horses boarding

There are categories and diary packages to suit each horse and of course, your needs.

Include or exclude pedigrees, photos and reports. Include photos of your horse’s conformation and include descriptions of their temperament, relevant progeny and sales or race results. Always remember that photo diaries will get much more traffic than diaries with no photos.

You can also keep your horses diaries updated with fresh information, such as winning family members or siblings that sold at auction for an above average price. You can also constantly update photos, which is useful for foal diaries, that may be going to a yearling auction.

Tempt the Market

Not every horse in your yard is for sale. Some of you have horses in training, others have new arrivals and others have stallions standing.

However, it is vital with any business to promote those things that bring you business.

Our stallions at stud, mares at stud and horses in training categories enable you to promote your bloodstock that are not for sale, but that create business for you.

• Standing stallions creates mare bookings
• Training horses bring clients
• Owning and boarding mares produce new foals that might be for sale in the future.

Therefore, it is important to show your potential market what you have to offer. Create diaries of your stallions at stud, mares at stud and their new arrivals (which may be for sale at a later foal sale or as a yearling, thus creating demand).

If you are a trainer, create diaries of your horses in training and update their diaries to keep their followers up-to-date with reliable information on their progress straight “from the horse’s mouth”.

Owners Area

The owner’s area is a unique password protected area of the site dedicated to owners who have horses boarding nationally or internationally, and it is also for use by studs/yards that have horses boarding with them respectively.

Within the owner’s area, studs/yards that have horses boarding with them can create diaries for their boarding horses. Like the regular diaries, studs/yards can amend details, update photos and make changes to description information at any point.

From a computer anywhere in the world, owners of boarding horses can access the diary of their horses at any time. They will be issued with a unique password that ensures they are the only ones who have access to their horse’s diary or diaries.

This is a novel way for trainers to keep syndicates up to date on their horses and also for studs to keep owners up to date on their mares, stallions and yearlings without having to make a lot of phone calls or send individual emails or letters.
